What is the difference between a rocker recliner and a glider recliner?
A rocker recliner provides you with that comforting back-and-forth motion many of us have fallen in love with. It’s the same motion you get when sitting in a rocking chair that helps you relax and put your mind at ease. A rocker recliner is perfect for new parents who want to cradle their children and rock them to sleep. The rocking motion is disabled when the chair is put in the reclining position.
Gliding recliners have a seamless pivoting motion. They can move back and forth as well as side-to-side, but they move along a linear path rather than an arched path. In many cases, gliding recliners can also swivel 360 degrees, giving it a greater range of motion. Like a rocker recliner, the pivoting motion is disabled, keeping the chair still when someone is reclining.
