Works with standard twin-size mattresses and does not require box springs or bunkie boards. This has a 400-pound resting weight capacity per sleeping surface safely holds kids to adults. Strong plywood slats with metal support bar. Tall 15 inch guardrails provide sleep security for top bunk. 5" thick top bunk mattress recommended. Maximum 8"" thick mattress for best fit and safety. Assembled bunk bed measures: 78.5""L x 58.5""W x 63.25""H. Under-bed height is 37.75"". Designed to accommodate a standard low profile mattresses (sold separately). Slat roll included. Customer assembly is required.
