Top bunk features tall 14" guardrails. This has a 400-pound resting weight capacity per sleeping surface. Strong plywood slats with metal support bar. Removable curtains turn under bed area into a play-space. Curtain includes one front panel and one side panel. Easily attaches with hook and loop fastener strip. Hand-sewn, 100% cotton. Total footprint (including ladder) 81.5""L X 54.25""W X 50""H; Actual bed measurements (excluding ladder) 81.5""L X 42.5""W X 50""H. At 50"" high its ideal for low ceilings. Under-bed height is 31". Designed to accommodate standard twin-size mattress; we recommend a 5" thick mattress not to exceed 8". Plywood slats included; no box spring or bunkie board required.
