Buyer Beware — Disappointing Experience with Kenny I walked into Rooms To Go specifically looking for a firm mattress. Kenny, the salesman who assisted me, initially showed me medium mattresses, and then took me to an extra-firm mattress instead of the firm mattress I was looking for. I didn’t realize at the time that I was purchasing an extra-firm mattress. The mattress is incredibly hard, uncomfortable, and causes my body to hurt. It is absolutely not what I wanted or expected to purchase. Now, when I try to resolve the situation, I’m being told I have to keep the mattress for 30 days before they will consider an exchange, even though I immediately explained that this is not the mattress I wanted. I’m extremely disappointed with this experience. Buying a mattress is a significant investment, and customers should be able to trust their salesperson to listen to their needs and make sure they understand exactly what they’re purchasing. My advice to anyone shopping at Rooms To Go: Be very careful, double-check the mattress firmness on your paperwork, and make sure you know exactly what you’re buying before signing. I wish I had caught this mistake before the mattress was delivered.
